New Board Members Needed!

TANC will be holding elections for board positions in the next month and we need motivated, energetic and excited new faces for two board positions and chair positions. The titles and responsiblities are listed below. Please contact us if you're interested in running.
President elect (Vice president)
- Collaborates with the President to learn the role of the President, to become familiar with the programs of the Association and its governance, and to develop and facilitate officer transition.
- Assists and supports the President as needed and plans for the Presidential year.
- The President-Elect shall automatically become President at the end of the term as President-Elect.
- Serve as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee
- Attend meetings of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and membership
- Accept responsibilities delegated by the President, such as representing the President at meetings, and any other duties as appropriate to the presidency
Secretary
- The Secretary records minutes of meetings, ensures their accuracy, and availability, proposes policies and practices, submits various reports to the board, maintains membership records, fulfills any other requirements of a Director and Officer, and performs other duties as the need arises and/or as defined in the bylaws.
- The Secretary ensures that an up-to-date copy of the bylaws is available at all meetings and is knowledgeable of bylaws.
- Sends out salary survey to memebership
- Sends out election survey to membership
- The Secretary participates in Board meetings as a voting member. The Secretary provides items for the agenda as appropriate. In the absence of the President (and Vice-President), the Secretary calls the meeting to order, presiding until a temporary chairperson is elected. The secretary records meeting minutes as described above Depending upon the bylaws and practices of the organization, the Secretary may perform these duties for Member meetings (eg. Annual General Meeting) and/or for an executive committee.
Community Service Chair
- Organizes charitable and community service events for group attendance
- Helps inform the group about community service and volunteer activities happening locally
Legislative Chair
- Acts as the point-of-contact for anyone with concerns or interests related to a
- legislative issue.
- Serves on committees and panels that relate to the legislative interests of counselors.
- Distribute relevant information regarding PNO legislative topics to the members and board
- Stay up-to-date on resources, current trends, hot topics and regulations that have an
- impact on the role of a PNP
- Report regularly to the President and the Board regarding legislative topics.
Social Chair:
- Plan fun things for our group to do to boost memebership and build morale
