NAPNAP Foundation Auction - Seeking Donations for Auction Items

Hello TANC Members! The following message is from the NAPNAP Foundation. They are seeking donations for their fundraising auction that is held annually at the national conference. It says we can use our chapter funds to make a donation, but since our chapter is newer and smaller than a lot of chapters, the TANC Board Members wanted to see if anyone had any of the following that they would like to donate? It is for a good cause - the foundation supports scholarship and research, and this year, they will be helping support chapters - like ours - who need funds to get things like continuing education hours - up and running. You may post a comment on this or email any of the officers for more information. Please note the December deadline - we are asking for a response by December 1st! Thank you!
"Thanks to the generosity of leaders like you, the NAPNAP Foundation has funded three educational scholarships and five research grants for members this year. In addition, we were able to underwrite five sessions at NAPNAP’s national conference. Thank you for your support, and we hope we can count on your help as we look to increase our funding capabilities in 2018 to benefit even more members.
This year we are using the latest technology to expand our annual fundraising auction so that members can bid regardless of whether they are able to attend the 39th National Conference on Pediatric Health Care in Chicago in March. We are excited to be able to engage the entire NAPNAP membership in this enjoyable and very important fundraiser for the first time. But the key to a successful auction like this is advance planning, so we need auction items to be delivered by December. Unlike past years, we will not be able to accept onsite donations.
You can use your chapter funds to purchase items to donate to our auction. We are anxious to secure items in the below categories, especially travel-related items:
- Multi-day/week-long stays at vacation homes on the beach or in the mountains good through Dec. 31, 2018
- Airline travel miles good through Dec. 31, 2018
- Designer purses and totes
- Personal electronics like iPads and Kindles
- Jewelry
- Gift cards for national retailers (Nordstrom, Macy's, Talbot's, Chico's, Home Goods, Williams-Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, etc.), restaurants (Fleming's, Bonefish, etc.) and online retailers (Amazon)
You can send your donation to the NAPNAP national office by Dec. 15, 2017. The office address is included on the donation form and also shared below. Be sure to include your name on the donation so
we can thank you properly!
