Pediatric and adult NP volunteers urgently needed in San Antonio to help migrants
There is an urgent need for pediatric and adult NP volunteers who can provide primary care services to migrant families that have been relocated by Customs and Border Control. You must be licensed in Texas. The Alamo Area Medical Reserve Corps clinic is run by the city of San Antonio. You can sign up for a shift atwww.signupgenius.com/go/30e0e4ba9ae22aaf49-city. Most children are seen for common health issues, including flu, colds, rashes, bug bites, asthma, etc., according to Cathy Woodward, DNP, RN, PNP-AC, NAPNAP executive board member-at-large.
The medical station is located at 400 N. St. Mary's Street directly across from the Greyhound Bus Station. Please park in the City of San Antonio parking lot located on the corner of St. Mary's and Travis streets. Take the northern elevator down to the ground level and, as the doors open, you will see a glass door with black tint on it. The station is located inside that area. Elevator and medical station is closer to the corner of Pecan Street.
